2. A Strategic Partnership: Airbus and Comand AI
The emergence of autonomous systems and rapid algorithmic decision-making requires a new approach to defense technology. To address these challenges, Airbus Defence and Space has entered into a strategic partnership with Comand AI, a European startup born from the operational realities of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict.
This collaboration is designed to merge two distinct but complementary concepts: the industrial scale and mission-critical reliability of Airbus, with the AI-native agility of Comand AI. By integrating the Prevail platform into the Airbus ecosystem, the partnership aims to provide forces with the capability to transform massive battlefield data volumes into actionable decisions. The objective is to ensure that the entire chain of command maintains situational awareness and can execute complex manoeuvres, even under severe time and resource constraints, by effectively shortening the OODA loop.
3. AI: a support for decision-making
The partnership focuses on delivering AI-assisted military planning tools that transform overwhelming data streams into clear, actionable insights.
At the core of this technological evolution is a fundamental principle: AI handles analysis, not authority.

The future of C2 requires the agility of startups working closely with historic industrial players, and co-developing directly with governmental agencies. This evolution must also be built on a foundation of strategic sovereignty, ensuring nations maintain control over their critical assets, while simultaneously mastering interoperability to operate seamlessly within multi-national coalitions.
